Rainforest Foundation Norway seeks an experienced MEL and Capacity Building Adviser for the Peru & Colombia programme.
We are seeking a MEL and Capacity Building Adviser for the Peru and Colombia Programme to be responsible for providing technical expertise and competence on planning, monitoring, evaluation, learning and results at country level. The position also contributes to development of partner capacities and implementation of cross-cutting policies at country level.

Location: Oslo.
Reporting Structure:
This position will report directly to the head of the relevant country programme.
Travel Requirements:
The role requires availability to travel within Peru and Colombia and the Amazon region.
Key responsibilities:
Carry out complex assessments and analyses and guide and support others in RFN within the area of responsibility
Coordinate and support the team in planning and reporting processes, designing and implementing evaluations, and results monitoring and management.
Support the implementation of RFN’s cross-cutting policies, risk management, capacity building and carrying out due diligence of partner portfolio in country programme(s).
Contribute to further develop RFN’s systems, tools, and processes for MEL.
Carry out frequent internal communication to advise, inform, and guide.
Lead or contribute to departmental projects, task forces and working groups.
Qualifications, skills and experience
Advanced knowledge in their area acquired through higher education (normally master) and/or relevant experience. Formal education can be compensated with documented and relevant experience
Able to work independently with limited guidance from a manager
Demonstrates experience in assessing opportunities, challenges, and stakeholders with which to engage
Experience in multicultural and international working environment settings
Fluency in written and verbal English is required, and a professional understanding of Spanish is required.
A strong communicator who excels at active listening produces cogent and polished writing
Personal attributes - strong interpersonal and analytical skills with problem-solving ability
